2008 Baxley Tree Fest Tree-tography Contest………………………
Once again the Baxley Tree Fest is accepting entries for our annual “Tree-tography” Contest. Last years contest was such a huge success it is being sponsored again for our 18th Annual Baxley Tree Fest. Our local amateur photographers really showed their stuff with their entries.
The contest will feature awards in three age groups for the most creative photograph containing a tree or trees in Appling County! The age 5-12 winner will receive $25 cash; age 13-17 winner will receive $50 cash and the adult winner will receive $100 cash.
Drag out those cameras and go snap a tree shot. You can even make it a family outing! Entries will be on display at the Chamber of Commerce during the week of Tree Fest. Photographs should be matted and entitled. Also, please include what area in Appling County the photograph was taken. Fill out a entry form and deliver entries to the Chamber of Commerce no later than Monday, April 7th. For more information please contact Karen Tharpe at 367-7731.
