Appling High FFA Wins at Okefenokee Fair

     The Appling County High School FFA competed in the Okefenokee Agricultural Fair in Waycross. The chapter competed in forestry, floriculture and wildlife management.

     The Appling High Junior and Senior Forestry teams both placed 1^st at the fair.  The Junior and Senior teams in Wildlife management both placed first.  The chapter’s Junior Floriculture team placed 2^nd at the fair.  In Individual competition Amber Bush placed 2^nd  in Senior tree identification, Jameel Phillips was 1^st in Junior tree ID and Maricela Zavala was 3^rd.  In wildlife management Austin Bellah placed 1^st and Dustin Bellah placed 2^{nd in} the senior division and K’leb Crapps placed first in the Junior Division.  

     The team members were as follows:  Senior Forestry; Austin Bellah, Dustin Bellah, Amber Bush, Jordan Dyal, and Cody Crummey:  Junior Forestry; Kaleb Crapps, Christian Foland, Jameel Phillips, Maricela Zavala, and Hunter Mosley: Senior Wildlife Management; Austin Bellah, Dustin Bellah, Cody Crummy, Amber Bush: Junior Wildlife Management; Kaleb Crapps’ Christian Foland, Austin Orvin, and Jameel Phillips: Junior Floriculture; Elizabeth Banning, Norma Cook, Juan Diaz, Jr., Maricela Zavala, and

Larra Williams. Participating in the Senior Floriculture contest was Layton Green.

Congratulations to the Appling County High FFA for an outstanding performance.
