Appling High FFA Wins at Okefenokee

Appling High FFA Reporter
The Appling
County High School FFA competed in the Okefenokee
Agricultural Fair in Waycross. The chapter competed in
forestry, floriculture and wildlife management.
The Appling
High Junior and Senior Forestry teams both placed 1st
at the fair. The Junior and Senior teams in Wildlife
management both placed first. The chapter’s Junior
Floriculture team placed 2nd at the fair. In
Individual competition Amber Bush placed 2nd
in Senior tree identification, Jameel Phillips was 1st
in Junior tree ID and Maricela Zavala was 3rd.
In wildlife management Austin Bellah placed 1st
and Dustin Bellah placed 2nd in the senior
division and K’leb Crapps placed first in the Junior
Division.
The team
members were as follows: Senior Forestry; Austin Bellah,
Dustin Bellah, Amber Bush, Jordan Dyal, and Cody Crummey:
Junior Forestry; Kaleb Crapps, Christian Foland, Jameel
Phillips, Maricela Zavala, and Hunter Mosley: Senior
Wildlife Management; Austin Bellah, Dustin Bellah, Cody
Crummy, Amber Bush: Junior Wildlife Management; Kaleb
Crapps’ Christian Foland, Austin Orvin, and Jameel
Phillips: Junior Floriculture; Elizabeth Banning, Norma
Cook, Juan Diaz, Jr., Maricela Zavala, and
Larra Williams.
Participating in the Senior Floriculture contest was
Layton Green.

performance.
