Entry Fees and
Applications are due no later than Tuesday, February 7, 2012.
In order to ensure placement in the program, to meet printing
deadlines, etc., we must have all information by this date! All
fees are Non-Refundable.
Eligibility: To
qualify for the Miss Relay for Life pageant contestants must be 0-21
by February 7, 2012 , never married or pregnant. Whatever age your
child is as of February 7, 2012, is the age division she would be in
for the pageant. There will be no moving up in divisions. Current
Miss Relay titleholders will not be eligible to participate the year
directly following their win (this does not include Princess of
Hope).
Obligation:
Queens are required to fulfill their obligations as Miss Appling
County Relay for Life. The Relay Committee may have several events
in which the queens are required to attend.

Miss Princess of
Hope: Is very similar to a People’s Choice Division. Each
contestant will provide a personally decorated box for these
donations. Please be creative. Contestant’s name and a small
picture must be on the box. Please make sure the box has a
removable lid. We do not want to destroy the box when we open it.
Each contestant is encouraged to collect donations for Princess of
Hope prior to and during the pageant. There will be one overall
winner in the morning age divisions and one overall winner in the
afternoon divisions. The Princess of Hope winner will receive a
beautiful crown.
Registration:
Registration for Baby, Teeny, Tiny and Little Miss ages groups will
begin at 9:00 am. The pageant will begin at 10:00 pm.
Registration for Petite, Junior, Teen and Miss age groups will begin
at 1:00 pm. The pageant will begin at 2:00 pm.
Prizes:
Each winner will receive a crown,
trophy and sash. 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Runners up will
receive a trophy. All contestants in
the Baby, Teeny, Tiny and Little Miss age groups
that do not place will receive a
participation trophy. The winners of the Optional
Categories in each division will
receive a Medallion.
Photos: Edgar’s Studio will be
available for pictures.
Dress: For division’s age 0-9, dress
can be short, mid-calf or floor length formal wear.
For age division’s 10-21, dress
should be floor length formal wear.
Judging/Score Sheets: Judges will
score each contestant on beauty, poise, and
personality. If you would like a
copy of your scores, please provide a self-addressed,
stamped envelope with your
application.
Admission: Adults and
Children-$2.00 Contestant and one parent will be admitted free.
Rehearsal and Dressing Rooms: There
will be dressing rooms available. There will not
be a rehearsal. There will be a
group line up at the beginning of each age group, then
each contestant will walk
individually with the traditional “T” pattern.
