Sheriff’s Weekly Report

 

02-09-12---Complainant came to Sheriff’s office to report Threats.

Complainant stated she had been receiving threatening text messages from her ex-husband and his wife.

 

02-09-12---Answered a call to Mae Lane in reference to Damage to Property.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) had placed sugar inside the gas tank of his pickup truck.

 

02-10-12---Answered a call to one vehicle deer accident on Hwy 121. No injuries reported.

 

02-10-12---Answered a call to Appling Middle School in reference to Damage to Property.  Principle stated a juvenile had stood on a urinal in the boy’s bathroom

breaking the urinal and damaging the wall.  Estimate for repairs were given to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

 

02-10-12---Answered a call to Lennox Road in reference to a possible Attempted Suicide. Subject was found lying on the floor with slurred speech.  Appling EMS transported subject to Appling ER for treatment.

 

02-11-12---Answered a call to Dunham Lane in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated she was missing $50.00 from her purse.  She realized the money was missing after a visiting nurse had left the residence. Investigation Continues.

 

02-11-12---Answered a call to Ten Mile road in reference to a Burglary.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) had kicked in the back door to gain entry to her building and stole approximately $1,504.00 worth of items.  Investigation Continues.

 

02-11-12---Answered a call to Kennedy road in reference to Harassment.

Complainant stated a juvenile came to her residence making threats towards her.

 

 

 

02-11-12---Answered a call to Rosewood Lane in reference to Harassment.

Complainant stated her ex-boyfriend continues to ride by her house and calls her on the phone. 

 

02-12-12---Appling County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Baxley Police Department to a call on Simpson Drive.  Subject was found on the ground breathing but not responding.  Subject was transported to Appling ER and found to be intoxicated.

Subject was later released.

 

02-13-12---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office in reference to Child Custody.

Complainant stated her ex-husband would not return their child to her.

 

02-13-12---Answered a call to Hoppy Trail in reference to an Attempted Suicide.

Subject was found to have taken several types of prescription drugs. Appling EMS transported subject to Appling ER for treatment.

 

02-14-12---While officers were checking listings at local Pawn Shop, convicted felon was found to have pawned a firearm.  A warrant was secured for Julia Marie Paige age 30 for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

 

02-14-12---Answered a call on Alicia Street in reference to Littering. Complainant stated that his neighbor’s trash was blowing in his yard.

 

02-14-12---Answered a call to Lennox road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated he believed his ex-girlfriend took his food stamp card. Investigation continues.

 

02-14-12---Investigation revealed information on an alleged child molestation of an eighteen year old female that had sex with a fourteen year old male.  Child molestation misdemeanor charges will be forthcoming.

  

 02-15-12---Answered a call on Ten Mile Road in reference to Harassment. Complainant stated that a vehicle passed by her house. The driver of the vehicle stuck their arm out of the window and shot her a bird.

 

02-15-12---Answered a call on Golden Isles West at Graham City Hall in reference to a Civil Issue. Complainant stated that someone had placed locks on the gas pumps without permission.

 

 

 

 

02-15-12---Answered a call to Oscar Tippins road in reference to a Burglary.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) broke the front window to the residence to gain entry.  Only thing appeared to be missing from the residence was a Valentine Gift. Investigation Continues. 

 

02-16-12---Answered a call to Ga. 4 hwy. in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident.  No injuries were reported.

 

02-17-12---Answered a call to Hwy. #121 south in reference to Damage to Property.  Complainant stated electrical wiring on two light poles on grounds of Surrency High School  had been torn down and left laying on the ground.

02-03-12---Answered a call to Pleasant Grove Church road in reference to a Civil Matter.  Complainant and family member had a dispute over deceased family member’s mobile home and shelter. 

 

02-03-12---Answered a call to Crosby Chapel Church road in reference to a Theft.

Complainant stated taken from his property was scrap metal valued at approximately $200.00.  Investigation continues.

 

02-04-12---Answered a call to Golden Isles West in reference to Threats.

Complainant stated his son had made threats toward him. Son had left the residence before the officer arrived.

 

02-04-12---Answered a call to Thornton road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident.  No injuries were reported.

 

02-05-12---Answered a call to Lynn road in reference to Reckless Driver. Driver subject was located at a residence where a party was in progress.  Subject along with owner of the residence were written citations.  Owner of residence was written a citation for contributing to a minor (alcohol), and driver was written a citation for reckless driving.

 

02-05-12---Answered a call to Kennedy road in reference to a Domestic Dispute.

Acquaintances had a dispute, one of the subjects had left the residence before officers arrived.

 

02-05-12---Answered a call to South Main Ext., Surrency in reference to a Domestic.  Husband and wife had a verbal dispute. 

 

02-05-12---Answered a call to Scott Drive in reference to Threats.

Complainant stated his wife made threats towards his life and damaged the inside of the residence. 

 

 

 

02-05-12---Answered a call to Donnie Lewis Lane in reference to Sexual Harassment.  Complainant stated a subject approached her about sex, she stated she was not interested. Subject has continued to approach her. Complainant was advised to see the Magistrate Judge if charges are to be filed.

 

02-05-12---Answered a call to A P Hunter road in reference to a Juvenile Problem.

Complainant stated her eight year old child had been very unruly and she had disciplined him. Appling DFACS and Juvenile Justice was notified.

 

02-06-12---A routine traffic stop on Moody street resulted in the arrest of Chadwick Bell age 34 of Vidalia, Ga.  Bell was charged with Simple Possession Marijuana.

 

02-06-12---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report Fraud Identity.

Complainant stated he filed his income tax and the IRS reported back to him that someone had already filed his taxes. Investigation Continues.

 

02-07-12---Answered a call to Pat Lewis road in reference to a Theft.

Complainant stated unknown subject had cut the lock to his work trailer and took approximately 20 feet of copper ground cables and a rolling ground dolly.  Investigation led to the arrest of James Timothy Carter age 40, of Alma, Georgia. Carter was charged with Theft by Taking.

 

02-08-12---Answered a call to Elizabeth circle in reference to an Unruly Juvenile.

Complainant stated her son thirteen year old son got in trouble at school by having drug related objects and continues to be unruly at home.  Complainant was advised to see the Juvenile Justice Officer.

 

02-08-12---Answered a call to Dairy road in reference to a Domestic.

Complainant stated she and her husband had a verbal dispute which led to and altercation.  Husband agreed to leave the residence for the night.  Wife was advised to see the Magistrate Judge if charges are to be pressed.

 

02-09-12---Answered a call to Tippins Street in reference to a Prowler. Complainant stated she saw two subjects trying to break into her shed. Investigation Continues.

 

02-09-12---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft.

Complainant stated her boyfriend had stolen a 380 pistol, diamond ring and diamond necklace from her.  Investigation continues.

 

02-09-12---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report Threats.  Complainant stated her ex-boyfriend had texted her stating he was in Tennessee and on his way to kill her.

Sheriff’s Weekly Report

01-25-12---A routine traffic stop on Brobston/Penniman Street resulted in the arrest of Rodney Dewayne Hall age 26, of Hazlehurst, Georgia.  Hall was charged with two counts Obstruction of an Officer and Seatbelt violation.

 

01-27-12---Appling County Sheriff’s Office and the Fourth District Fire Department responded to a vacant mobile home on John Herndon road, Surrency.

Mobile home was completely destroyed.

 

01-27-2012---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft that occurred in 2002. Complainant stated she had learned that Child Support checks that were mailed to her in 2002 had been received and cashed by an unknown subject.  Investigation Continues.

 

01-27-12---A routine traffic stop on Luckie Street resulted in the arrest of Shari Lynn Sanford, age 47 of Hazlehurst, Georgia.  Sanford was charged with Driving without License on Person, Possession of Marijuana, DUI/Drugs, Drugs to be Kept in Original Container.

 

01-28-12---Answered a call to Jekyll Road in reference to a one-vehicle accident.

No injuries were reported.

 

01-29-12---Answered a call to East River road in reference to a one-vehicle accident.  No injuries were reported.

 

01-29-12---Answered a call to Russell Road in reference to Damage to Property.

Complainant stated someone had busted out a window to his residence with a golf club.

 

01-29-12---Answered a call to Buckhead road in reference to a Child Custody Dispute.  Complainant stated her ex-husband did not return her children on the time that was designated.

 

 

 

01-29-12---After an ongoing investigation on a Child Molestation that occurred on Dewitt Graham road, Andy Ring, Jr. was arrested and charged with Felony Child Molestation. Ring is currently in the Wayne County Jail.

 

01-29-12---Officers were advised to do a Welfare check on children located on Oscar Tippins road.  Officers found parent with one child and house in very good condition.

 

01-30-12---Answered a call to Hwy. #144 in reference to an Injured Person.

Complainant stated subject blacked out and fell from a chair.  Appling EMS responded and transported victim to Appling Emergency for treatment.  Investigation determined injury to victim was accidental.

 

01-30-12---Answered a call to Falling Rocks Campground in reference to Damage to Property.  Juveniles were found tearing up two picnic tables to make skateboard ramps.  Juveniles were found and Juvenile Complaint forms were completed. Juveniles are to appear in Juvenile Court for charges.

 

01-30-12---Answered a call to Truck & Trailer Service in reference to Theft in Progress.  Complainant found a subject loading items from his storage building. Clinton Carl Crapps age 39, of Baxley was arrested and charged with Theft by Taking and Criminal Trespass.

 

01-31-12---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft/Forgery.  Complainant stated a subject had taken jewelry and checks, forged his name and cashed the checks.  Thomas Alvin Leggett age 24, of Baxley, was arrested and charged with Burglary, Four counts of Forgery First Degree and Giving False Statements.

 

01-31-12---Answered a call to Clemons Lane/Graham in reference to a Peeping Tom.  Complainant stated a subject was found looking in her window by her nine year old daughter. After an investigation, James Milton Bates age 30 of Baxley was arrested and charged with Peeping Tom. Bates is on the Sex Offender Registry and being held without bond.

 

01-31-12---Answered a call to Gardner road in reference to a Domestic.

Complainant stated her boyfriend got mad with her and hit her in the face.Octavio Ruiz Velaquez age 28 of Baxley was arrested and charged with Simple Battery.

 

01-31-12---Answered a call to Pretty Ford Road in reference to a Car Fire.

Driver stated his vehicle caught on fire, and County Farm Fire Department responded and put the fire out.  Vehicle was completely destroyed.

 

 

01-31-12---Answered a call to Hatch Parkway South in reference to a Theft.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) had taken an air condition unit tools and several items from her shop building.  Investigation continues.

 

02-01-12---Answered a call to Miles Chapel Church road in reference to a Theft.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) took her 2.5 ton air condition and approximately 75 feet of ground wire.  Investigation Continues.

 

02-01-12---Answered a call to Quincey Lane in reference to Damage to Property.

Complainant stated the tenant of one of his rental houses had damaged the house.

 

02-01-12---Answered a call to Cauley road in reference to a Dispute.

Complainant stated a man driving a County Motor Grader had hit him with the machine because of an argument about the dirt road. Investigation Continues.

 

02-01-12---Answered a call to Branch road in reference to a Peeping Tom.

Complainant stated she had seen her neighbor looking in her window with binoculars.  Officer talked with neighbor and stated he was looking at the pond and woods.

 

02-01-12---Answered a call to Red Oak Road in reference to a Dispute.

Complainant and her husband had a dispute over their children.  Husband had left the residence before officer arrived.

 

02-02-12---Answered a call to Tillman Lane in reference to a Missing Dog.

Complainant stated his dog has been missing for approximately a month. Complainant stated he thought he had found his dog in someone else’s possession.

Officer and complainant went to residence and found he was mistaken.

 

02-02-12---Answered a call to Hardwick road in reference to Damage to Property.

Complainant stated her ex-husband tried to gain entry to her residence by forcing the door open.

 

02-04-12---Answered a call to Zoar road in reference to an Unresponsive Subject.

Upon arrival subject was unresponsive.  Appling EMS transported Rachel Fowler age 40 to Appling ER where she was pronounced DOA.  Coroner was notified.

 

After an investigation of a child molestation, Winston Johnson age 68 was arrested and charged with two counts of Child Molestation. Johnson is being held without bond.

01-19-12---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft that occurred on Carter Cemetery road.  Complainant stated he had several Play station games that were taken from his house. Complainant stated he believed they were at a local pawn shop.  Investigation revealed Bucky Shaun Bruce age 34 of Baxley, had taken the games.  Bruce was arrested and charged with Theft by Taking.

 

01-21-12---Answered a call to Hwy. 341 in reference to Damage to Property.

Complainant stated someone cut two master locks off of their gate and replaced it with a lock of their own.

 

01-21-12---Answered a call to Pineview Avenue in reference to a Theft.

Complainant stated unknown subject (s) entered her autos and took several items including a pocketbook. Value of items taken was approximately $1,800.00.  Investigation continues.

 

01-21-12---Answered a call to Alligator road in reference to Threats.

Complainant stated a subject had called him and made threats towards him.

 

01/21/12---Answered a call to Ga. 15 in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident.  No injuries were reported.

 

01-21-12---Answered a call to Oscar Tippins road in reference to Harassment.

Complainant stated a subject continues to harass her. Complainant was advised to see the Magistrate Judge with reports that have been taken.

 

01-21-12---Answered a call to Joe Crapps road in reference to Damage to Property.

Complainant stated that during bad weather a tree fell on his residence and two of his vehicles.

 

01-22-12---Answered a call to Post road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident.  No injuries were reported.

 

01-22-12----Answered a call to Ten Mile Hwy. in reference to a one-vehicle accident.  No injuries were reported.

 

01-23-12---Answered a call to Ben Carter road in reference to a two vehicle accident.  No injuries were reported.

 

01-23-12---Answered a call to Davis Landing road in reference to a Burglary.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) had thrown a brick through the glass door and gained entry to the residence. Investigation Continues.

 

01-23-12---Answered a call to Max Deen road in reference to Damage to Property.

County Dump truck body was caught in power lines.  The power from lines blew back tires off of the truck and tore down the power pole and lines. Satilla REMC was notified.

 

01-23-12---Answered a call to Wayne Jones road in reference to a Dispute.

Complainant and subject had an altercation.  Ricky Ned Sikes age 54 of Baxley was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct.

 

01-23-12---During the execution of a warrant, Jonathan Andrew Turner age 22 of Baxley was found to be in possession of marijuana. Turner was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, Forgery in the First Degree, Burglary, and Giving False Information.

 

01-24-12---Answered a call to Pearce Road/Surrency in reference to Threats.

Complainant stated her fiancé just got out of prison and was making threats towards her and her children.

 

01-24-12---Answered a call to Hesters road in reference to Damage to Property.

Complainant stated his neighbor threw a brick through the window of his residence, because he thought he had killed his dog. 

 

01-24-12---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report Harassment.

Complainant stated her ex continues to send harassing text messages. Complainant was advised to save the messages and take report to Magistrate Judge if action wanted to be taken.

 

01-24-12---Answered a call to Gardner road in reference to Threats.

Complainant stated subject made hand gestures toward him simulating firing a gun to the head. Complainant stated subject may possibly mentally challenged.

 

01-24-12---Answered a call to Industrial Drive in reference to a one-vehicle accident.  No injuries were reported.

 

 

01-24-12---Answered a call to Varnadore Lane in reference to a Theft.

Complainant stated unknown subject gained entry to residence by taking a window air condition unit out of window and stole three guns valued at approximately $1,300.00.  Investigation continues.

 

 

01-25-12---Answered a call to Glory Hole road in reference to Suspicious Activity.

A log truck was found to be stolen from the City of Baxley.  Investigation led to the arrest of Kesha Lynn Meeks age 34, of Baxley, Michael Calvin Meeks age 54, of Baxley, Ronnie Smith age 57 of Hazlehurst, and Ricky Stewart Love age 40 of Hazlehurst.  All four subjects have been charged with Theft by Taking.

 

01-25-12----Answered a call to Lawana Drive in reference to a Theft of Dog.

Complainant stated her Beagle dog went missing.

 

01-26-12---Answered a call to Red Oak road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries reported.

 

01-26-12---Answered a call to Wayne Jones road in reference to Harassment.

Complainant stated a subject has stopped in the neighborhood where his children are playing and making faces at them.  Subject was warned to stay away from the children.

 

01-24-12---Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report Financial Identity Fraud.  Complainant stated a credit card company had contacted him in reference to a credit card he had applied for and used.  Complainant stated he had not applied for a credit card nor used one. Investigation continues.

 

01-25-12---Answered a call to Deen’s Landing road in reference to Damage to Property.  Tables and barbeque grill at Falling Rock Campground was found to be vandalized.

 

01-27-12---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Financial Dispute.

Complainant stated she loaded 1386 bales of straw on subject truck and had an agreement subject was to pay her in two weeks and had not.  Complainant was advised to see the Magistrate Judge in reference to a Civil Dispute.

 1-12-12---Answered a call on Herrington Road in reference to a Theft. Taken were some old boards off of an old house without permission. Boards were worth about $100.00. Investigation continues.

 

1-13-12---Answered a call on Tupelo Circle in reference to Harassment. Complainant stated that several neighborhood children had been walking by her residence and calling her dog out to the road. The dog follows the children off. Complainant stated that she just wanted the children to leave the dog alone.

 

1-13-12---Answered a call on Griffin Road in reference to Threats. Complainant stated that her ex-husband’s wife had been sending threatening text messages to her.

 

1-13-12---Answered a call at CAB Enterprises in reference to a Theft. Taken was some electrical wire.

 

01-13-12---Answered a call to Hwy. #341 in reference to a two vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.

 

1-13-12---Answered a call on Sandy Road in reference to Damage to Property. Complainant stated that someone had been tearing up his gates and busted out the glass on a shed that he owned.

 

1-14-12---Answered a call on Hutcheson Road in reference to Child Molestation. Complainant stated that a three year old child had been molested by a juvenile. Investigation continues.

 

1-14-12---Answered a call to McClure Lane in reference to a Missing Person. Complainant stated that she had not seen her uncle since February of 2005. Case will be turned over to the Investigators.

 

 

 

1-15-12---Answered a call at Appling ER in reference to an assault that had already occurred. Victim stated that an argument escalated between he and the offender and the offender threw a kitchen knife at his foot, striking it and causing it  to bleed. Victim was transported to the ER by a witness. Victim stated it was an accident.

 

1-15-12---Answered a call to Old Surrency Road in reference to a Dog Bite. Complainant stated that he was walking down the road and saw a bulldog and tried to feed it. The dog snapped at the complainant and bit his hand. The dog ran off into the woods.

 

1-15-12---Answered a call on Henry Thomas Road in reference to a Theft. Taken was a 2004 Dodge Ram Pick up truck. Investigation led to the finding of the vehicle in the ditch. 

 

1-16-12---Answered a call to Hill Top Road in reference to Harassment. Complainant stated that the offender continues to call his wife. Complainant wishes for the offender to not have any contact with their family.

 

1-16-12---Routine traffic stop on US 1 North/Harvey Street resulted in the arrest of Christopher Steven Eason, age 27 of Baxley. Eason was arrested and charged with VGCSA-Crack Cocaine, Drugs to be Kept in Original Container, Possession of Drug Related Objects, and No Brake Lights.

 

1-17-12---Investigated a one-vehicle deer accident on Hwy 144. No injuries were reported.

 

01-17-12---Answered a call to Kennedy road in reference to an Arson.

Complainant stated someone tried to set his building on fire. Complainant stated he put the fire out with the water hose.

 

01-17-12---Answered a call to Hoppy Trail in reference to Harassment.

Complainant stated his ex-wife’s family has been harassing him.

 

01-17-12---Answered a call to Friendship Church road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident.  No injuries were reported.

 

01-18-12---Answered a call to Sumner road/Surrency in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated unknown person (s) pried open the door to his residence and took several items valued at $1,000.00.  Investigation Continues.

 

01-18-12---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft of Checks on Gardenia Circle.  Complainant stated a family member had taken two checks, forged his signature and cashed them at a local store.  Warrants have been secured for the arrest of Jonathan Turner.

 

01-19-12---Complainant a councilman of City of Graham stated subjects came to his residence making threats towards him if he brought up an agenda at the Graham City Hall meeting.

 

01-19-12---Answered a call to Alpine Drive in reference to a Theft.  Complainant stated his friend took his pistol and would not return it.

 

01-19-12---A routine traffic stop on Satilla Church road resulted in the arrest of Julius Earl Butler age 26 of Baxley.  Butler was charged with Possession of Marijuana.

 

01-19-12---Answered a call to Hwy. #144 in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident.  No injuries were reported.

1-15-12---Answered a call on Henry Thomas Road in reference to a Theft. Taken was a 2004 Dodge Ram Pick up truck. Investigation led to the finding of the vehicle in the ditch. 

 

1-16-12---Answered a call to Hill Top Road in reference to Harassment. Complainant stated that the offender continues to call his wife. Complainant wishes for the offender to not have any contact with their family.

 

1-16-12---Routine traffic stop on US 1 North/Harvey Street resulted in the arrest of Christopher Steven Eason, age 27 of Baxley. Eason was arrested and charged with VGCSA-Crack Cocaine, Drugs to be Kept in Original Container, Possession of Drug Related Objects, and No Brake Lights.

Complainant stated someone tried to set his building on fire. Complainant stated he put the fire out with the water hose.

Complainant stated his ex-wife’s family has been harassing him.

01-18-12---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft of Checks on Gardenia Circle.  Complainant stated a family member had taken two checks, forged his signature and cashed them at a local store.  Warrants have been secured for the arrest of Jonathan Turner.

 

01-19-12---Complainant a councilman of City of Graham stated subjects came to his residence making threats towards him if he brought up an agenda at the Graham City Hall meeting.

01-19-12---A routine traffic stop on Satilla Church road resulted in the arrest of Julius Earl Butler age 26 of Baxley.  Butler was charged with Possession of Marijuana.

Four juveniles were riding on a golf-cart, when one of the juveniles lost footing and fell from the golf-cart striking his head on the roadway, resulting in serious injury.  Juvenile was taken to Appling ER and was later transferred to a hospital in Savannah.

Complainant stated taken from his business were items valued at approximately $3,034.00.  Arrested was Benjamin Roy Burton, age 37 of Baxley and was charged with Theft.

Dispute over a boat with subjects resulted in the arrest of Robbie Shane Smith age 34 of Baxley.  Smith was charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Complainant stated a safe was missing, and an air condition unit had been removed from window to gain entry. Investigation Continues.

Complainant stated two males came to his residence and beat him up.  Investigation continues.

 

01-02-12---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft.  Missing were two diamond rings valued at $3,800.00. Complainant stated a family member had sold the rings. Subject that bought the rings was contacted and rings were returned to owner for the price subject paid for rings.  Investigation continues.

 

01-02-12---Answered a call to Orvin road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated taken from their shop were items valued at $170.00.  Complainant named a possible suspect.  Investigation continues.

Complainant stated her friend slept over for the night after he left she found several items missing. After Investigators met with friend complainant came to an agreement with her friend to be reimbursed for items taken.

Complainant stated the door to his store had been pried open.  Cigarettes and tobacco were taken, valued at $152.00. Investigation continues.

 

01-03-12---Answered a call to US. #1 / Blackwater Creek Bridge in reference to a Burglary.  Business had work tools stored in a commercial trailer that was broken into where several items valued at $675.00 was stolen.  Benjamin Roy Burton age 37 of Baxley was arrested and charged with Theft.

Complainant stated some dogs had killed two of his goats and bitten several others. Complainant was advised he had every right to protect his animals.

Complainant stated she came from the Augusta Airport and her hand bag was missing containing her debit cards.

Complainant stated she has filed for divorce and her soon to be ex-husband continues to harass and threaten her.

 

01-03-12---While on routine patrol on Golden Isles west, Consolation Building, Berries Best and J.M. Miles had been found burglarized.  Owners of the businesses were contacted and several air conditioners were found to have been taken, along with several other items. As a result of investigations Lennis Lamar Rooks age 20, of Baxley and Steven Michael Penn age 28, of Baxley were both arrested and charged with Theft.

 

01-03-12---Answered a call to Reese road in reference to Damage to Property.

Complainant stated she found her had been ransacked. Furniture turned upside down, broken dishes, permanent marker written on counter top, shot gun lying across her son’s bed, and several pictures that had been shot with a shotgun.  Complainant was advised to get a TPO to keep her soon to be ex-husband away from her and her children. TPO was obtained and served.

 

01-04-12---Answered a call to Hatch Parkway north in reference to Theft by Deception.  Complainant employed at a local convenience store, stated a subject came to the store and bought several items with a check that was not good.  Cashier advised subject to bring the money back to the store by 8:30pm to pay for the items taken.  Subject never returned.

 

01-04-12---Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office and reported that a subject stated he was working for a finance company, and owed a substantial amount of money and made threats.  Complainant stated she did not owe them money.  Please beware this was a scam.

 

01-04-12---Answered a call to Hwy. #121 in reference to a Burglary.  Complainant stated unknown person (s) had kicked in back door of residence, gained entry and took a GPS Tom Tom XL valued at $200.00. Investigation continues.

Complainant stated someone had field stripped his air condition unit, and stolen wires to two pieces of equipment.  Investigation Continues.

Complainant stated he saw two men run from his mobile home.  Tin was found in the woods near by the mobile home that was taken off of the mobile home.  Investigation Continues.

Complainant stated someone had taken two 50 foot leads from his Miller welder.

Vehicle with no tag was found left several days on the side of the road. Wrecker service towed vehicle.

12-20-11---Answered a call to Holt Rentz road in reference to an Abandoned Vehicle.  Vehicle was found in roadway with no tag.  Vehicle posed a safety hazard to public and was towed by Wrecker Service.

 

12-20-11---Answered a call to Buck Head road in reference to a House Fire.

County Farm Fire Department responded to house fire, along with Appling Deputy. Victim stated fire apparently started from the Christmas tree plug.

 

12-21-11---Answered a call to Arbor Drive in reference to a Domestic.

Girlfriend and boyfriend had a verbal dispute.  Boyfriend left the residence before officers arrived.

 

12-21-11---Answered a call to Crosby Street in reference to a Theft. Door was pried open to warehouse.  Taken were several items valued at approximately $17,125.00.  Investigation revealed Robert Wheeler had taken the items.  Wheeler was arrested and charged with three counts of Theft by Taking and Criminal Trespass.

Two subjects had a dispute over a pistol.  Pistol was taken into custody until proper documentation was brought to prove who is the owner of the pistol.

Complainant wanted to evict subjects from a recently purchased house. Complainant was advised to contact Magistrate Judge.

 

12-24-11---Answered a call to Coot Jones Street in reference to Damage to Property.  Complainant stated unknown person (s) damaged a glass top table.

Husband and wife had a confrontation.  Michael Todd Nadeau age 36 of Baxley was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct.

 

12-24-11---Answered a call to Buck Williams road in reference to a Domestic/Civil.  Ex-Boyfriend and girlfriend had a dispute over owner of personal items.

 

12-24-11---Answered a call to Assist Jeff Davis County on a traffic stop.  Appling K-9 Unit searched the vehicle and a clear plastic bag containing what was believed to be crack cocaine was found. Jeff Davis unit took over the case.

Appling Christian Academy window was broken, and unknown subject (s) entered the school. Several items were damaged, but nothing appeared to be missing.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) had broken into his mobile home and taken several items.  Investigation Continues.

Complainant stated someone had taken his bulldog from his house on Alpine Drive.  Dogs’ name is Dixie and there is a reward if someone finds the dog.

Complainant stated about 250 pounds of pecans were stolen from his pecan orchard. Investigation continues.

Complainant stated two subjects were on his property and tried to take his scrap metal.  Chester Paul Sherman age 28 of Baxley, and Fred Wilson age 55 of Baxley were both arrested and charged with Theft by Taking.

Complainant stated her boyfriend threatened her.  Boyfriend stated his girlfriend had made threats toward him. Both subjects were advised to see the Magistrate Judge if they wished to file charges against each other.

 

12-27-11---Answered a call to Poor Robin road in reference to Unresponsive Subject. Appling EMT’s responded and found no pulse on subject. Coroner was called and Mr. Phil M. Jenkins, Sr. age 85 of Baxley was pronounced deceased of natural causes.

Ex-boyfriend and girlfriend had an altercation. Girlfriend left the residence before officer arrived.

Complainant stated an unruly subject was at her residence and would not leave her residence. Thomas Peyton Miles age 48 of Baxley was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Complainant stated she and her boyfriend had a dispute which led to a physical altercation. Complainant stated she did not want to press charges.

Complainant stated someone pried open her back door and took money from her child’s piggy bank.  Possible suspects are under investigation.

David Troy O’Quinn age 36, Wesley Glynn Rentz age 28, and Benjamin Roy Burton age 37 of Baxley were arrested and charged with Theft by Taking.

 

12-27-11---Answered a call to Bowen road in reference to a Theft. Unknown person’s went to the property of CAB Enterprises and took items valued at approximately $5,000.00.  Benjamin Burton age 37, and Wesley Glynn Rentz were charged with Theft by Taking.

 

12-28-11---Answered a call to James Kent road in reference to a Civil Matter.

Complainant stated a subject was attempting to take her chickens and cages. Subject stated the reason for taking the chickens were they were not being feed or watered. 

 

12-28-11---A routine traffic stop on Hwy. 15 resulted in the arrest of Nicholas Peoni age 29 of Indiana. Peoni was charged with Possession of Marijuana, No Seatbelt and Expired Registration.

Complainant stated his fourteen year old son had left home and not returned.

Juvenile information was entered into GCIC, and Bolo was given to surrounding counties. Juvenile was later found.

Father of picked up his child for weekend visit and saw bruises on arm of child.  DFAC’s case worker was notified and interviewed all parties involved.

Father found daughter passed out in her bedroom.  When officer arrived daughter was breathing normally and responsive.  Appling EMS was dispatched and transported the subject to Appling County ER for medical and mental evaluation.

 

12-04-11---Answered a call to Lake Mayers road in reference to an Alleged Suicide Attempt.  Complainant stated subject had cut his wrist with a razor ran away from the residence.  Subject was neither able to be located nor was any evidence of the alleged event inside or outside of the residence.

Complainant stated his deer stand valued at $278.00 was stolen from the woods.

Complainant stated a subject entered the residence by a bathroom window and took two guns, Dell Lap Top computer, and a man’s gold bracelet.  Complainant stated possible suspect maybe a girlfriend. Investigation Continues.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) pried open the door of his shop and took money, checks, handgun, and cameras.   Brian David Spell age 28, of Baxley was arrested and charged with Burglary.

Complainant stated he advertised his motorcycle on Craigs List for sale.  Subject came to his residence and purchased the motorcycle with a cashiers check from Savannah and left with the motorcycle.  Bank contacted complainant and stated cashiers check is a forgery.  Investigation has revealed Craig Allen Delaney of Savannah committed the above offenses.  Warrants have been secured for Theft by Deception and Forgery.

Complainant stated his landlord had made threats against him. He was given an eviction notice and still had several days to move.

Stacy Earl Mobley age 37, and Kimberly Dawn Mobley age 34 were both arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Complainant stated she saw a subject taking scrap metal from her property without anyone’s permission.   Robert Alton Wheeler, age 40 of Baxley was arrested and charged with three counts Theft by Taking, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer, Speeding, Reckless Driving, and Tail Lights Required.

Complainant stated a family member gained entry into their residence and took several valuable coins and sold them.  Dara Zacher age 27 of Baxley was arrested and charged with Burglary.

Complainant stated a friend let her store her belongings at his residence and would not let her have them back.

12-07-11---A routine traffic stop on Ernest Kesler Road resulted in the arrest of Stephen Carroll Johnson age 26, of Baxley, Georgia.  Johnson was charged with DUI/Drugs, No Insurance, Driving w/o License on Person, Driving when headlights required, Taillights required.

Complainant stated unknown subject had gained access to her checking account using a debit card making charges payable to face book. Complainant stated she does not own a computer.  Investigation Continues.

Complainant stated his neighbor’s two Pitt Bull dogs came into his yard and killed his Lab dog valued at $350.00.

11-26-11---Answered a call to Gardenia Circle in reference to a Juvenile Complaint. Grandmother has custody of fourteen year old grandchild who is visiting from a facility. Grandchild ran away taking cell phone. Juvenile complaint form was filed and BOLO was issued for child. Juvenile was found and returned to facility.

 

11-26-11---Answered a call to Ed Carter road in reference to a Domestic.

Complainant stated two subjects were fighting in a vehicle. 

 

11-26-11---Answered a call to Hwy. #144 in reference to a Subject in Roadway.

Rodney Mobley age 46, was arrested and charged with Pedestrian Under the Influence of Alcohol.

 

11-27-11---Answered a call to Lake Ridge Drive in reference to a Theft.

Complainant stated several tools valued at approximately $1,300.00 was taken from his residence. Investigation continues.

 

11-27-11---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report Debit Card Theft.

Complainant stated her debit card was stolen and several large debits had been taken from her account. Investigation revealed Justin Michael Yawn age 32, of Hazlehurst had used the card.  Warrants were secured for Yawn for Financial Transaction Card Theft.

 

11-28-11---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft/Forgery.

Complainant stated a subject stole a check from her checkbook, and wrote it at Walmart. Complainant later came to Sheriff’s Office and stated she wanted to drop the charges, that the offender had paid her back the money she had taken.

 

11-28-11---Answered a call to Nails Ferry Road in reference to an Assault.

Complainant stated that he and a family member had a verbal dispute which led to an altercation.. Stanford Jose King age 36 of Baxley was arrested and charged with Battery.

 

 

11-28-11---Answered a call to Buckhead road in reference to a one-vehicle accident.  No injuries were reported.

 

11-29-11---Answered a call to Bethel Church road in reference to Unresponsive Subject.  Family member found Timothy Scott Howell age 39, of Baxley was not breathing.  Appling EMS responded  and called the Coroner.  Coroner ruled the death was caused by natural causes. 

 

 

11-29-11---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft. Complainant stated a check had been stolen from her rental mail box and cashed.  Investigation continues.

 

11-29-11---Answered a call to Graham Zoar road in reference to a Theft.

Complainant stated he found scrap metal loaded in a truck and told subject the metal belonged to him.  Subject was taken to the Appling County Detention Center for further investigation.

 

11-30-11---Answered a call to Blarney road in reference to Trespassing.

Complainant stated her boyfriend came to her residence and threatened her, and let the air from her tires.  Boyfriend was advised to stay off of complainants property.

 

11-30-11---Answered a call to Graham Zoar road in reference to a one-vehicle accident.  No injuries were reported.

 

12-01-11---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft by Deception.

Complainant stated he took his jeep to a subject to have a new transmission and new carburetor put in the vehicle. Complainant found that an old transmission and old carburetor was put in.  Complainant paid around $3,400.00 for the repairs.  David Richard Yawn age 47, of Baxley was arrested and charged with two counts of Theft by Deception.

 

12-02-11---Answered a call to Heath Street in reference to a Domestic.

Complainant stated a family member came to his residence being unruly and was asked to leave.  Family member returned, and was arrested. Chase Van Sharpe age 20 of Baxley was charged with Disorderly Conduct, DUI and Driving without Headlights when required.

Complainant stated boyfriend was beating his girlfriend.  Steven Dane Fletcher age 40 of Baxley was arrested and charged with Terroristic Threats and Acts, Battery, and Cruelty to Children.

Follow up to call on 11-17-2011, in reference to Credit Card Fraud/ City of Graham.   Lonnie Ryan Crosby age 33 of Hazlehurst, Georgia was arrested and charged with four counts of  Financial Transaction Card Fraud.

11-18-11---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft that occurred on George Craven road.  Complainant stated missing from her residence are several items of jewelry valued at approximately $500.00. Complainant stated possible suspect may be a family member.

 

11-18-11---Answered a call to Collins Lane in reference to an Assault.

Complainant stated a family member hit him in the head with a ring on her hand. Offender had left the residence before officer arrived.

 

11-19-11---Answered a call to Lennox Road in reference to a Burglary.

Complainant caught subjects in the act of taking items from his storage shed. Subjects eluded complainant and ran through the woods.  Investigation continues.

 

11-20-11---Answered a call to Parkers in Surrency in reference to a Gas Drive-Off.  Complainant identified subject that got $5.00 worth of gas and drove off.  Subject was contacted and came back and paid for the gas. Complainant did not press charges.

 

11-20-11---Answered a call to Zoar road in reference to Criminal Damage to Property.  Satilla REMC transformer was shot with a firearm.  Investigation Continues.

 

11-20-11---Answered a call to Daisy Lane in reference to an Affray.

Complainant stated two subjects came to her residence pulled her to the ground.

Alleged offenders had left the residence before officers arrived.

 

11-20-11---A routine traffic stop on Hwy. 341 resulted in the arrest of Eleazar Perez Garcia age 22 of McRae, Garcia was charged with DUI, Driving without a License, and Speeding, also passenger Eledzar Sanchez age 20 of Helena, Ga.  was charged with Open Container and Possession of Cocaine, Alfonso Moises age 21 of Helena was charged with Open Container in Vehicle.

Complainant stated sometime during the night hours unknown person (s) spray painted obscene words on her mail box.

Complainant found two bags of trash on the side of the road. Complainant stated there has been a lot of trash on this road in the past.

11-21-11---Answered a call to Hatch Parkway south in reference to a Burglary.

Complainant stated missing was a money bag, 9mm handgun, and tools. Complainant named a possible suspect.  Investigation Continues.

Complainant stated that a subject that stays at his house continues to make threats toward him.  Complainant wants this subject and his girlfriend to stay away from his residence.

Complainant stated unknown persons had taken approximately 50 batteries and 200 pounds of copper wire.  Investigation Continues.

Subject pulled to gas pumps and pumped $20.00 in gas and did not pay. Area was checked for vehicle but not found.

 

11-23-11---Answered a call to Citgo Store/Graham in reference to a Gas Drive Off.

Subject pumped $15.00 in gas and left without paying. Complainant did not have description of vehicle.

 

11-23-11---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office in reference to Terroristic Threats.  Tyrone Simmons age 42 of Baxley was arrested and charged with Terroristic Threats and Acts, Cruelty to Children, Harassing Phone Calls and Aggressive Driving.

 

11-23-11---Answered a call to Old Blackshear Road in reference to Vandalism. Complainant stated someone put chicken in his mailbox and spray painted profane words on the outside of the box.  Investigation Continues.

Complainant found a bicycle in her yard, front and side door to residence open and screen window torn out.  Investigator was called and  juveniles were questioned and apprehended.

Girlfriend and boyfriend had an altercation. Boyfriend had left the residence before officer arrived.

Jamie Daniel Clance age 31, of  Hazlehurst was arrested and charged with Terroristic Threats and Harassing Phone Calls.

 

11-24-11---A call was answered from East Allen street in reference to Harassing Phone Calls.  Complainant stated she asked her husband for a divorce and he has continued to call her on the phone.

Wife stated her husband hit her on the hand. Complainant was advised to see the Magistrate Judge if she wanted to press charges.

 

11-24-11---Answered a call to Clifton Crosby road in reference to Harassment/Trespassing.  Complainant stated she and another subject had an altercation.  Complainant stated she does not want this subject back on her property.

 

11-24-11---Answered a call to Lake Mayers road in reference to Mentally Ill Subject.  Family member stated her brother has not been taking medication and wandering around.  Family member was advised to see the Probate Judge to seek further help for brother.

Two subjects have lived together for many years and separated. Both parties claim to own an electric stove as theirs.

 

11-26-11---Answered a call to Dogwood Lane in reference to a four-wheeler accident.  Two juveniles were thrown from a four-wheeler.  Parents took juveniles to Appling ER but neither sustained serious injuries.

Husband and wife had a verbal dispute.  Wife left the residence with their two children.

11-27-11---Answered a call to Dupe Herndon Road/Surrency in reference to Elderly Mental Patient. Complainant stated her family member has been suffering from Dementia and other mental problems. Subject was found walking down the road and was taken to Appling Health Care for treatment.

Complainant stated her fifteen year old son left home. Son was found at another residence. Juvenile Justice was notified and son was later released to his mother.

 

11-13-11---Answered a call to Satilla Church road in reference to Damage to Property.  Complainant stated that sometime during the night, someone had damaged about twelve feet of security fence that enclosed the front yard of her property.

Complainant stated renters had moved about eleven months ago and she had found that the central heat & air unit, power pole with meter and breaker box was missing from the rental property.

Complainant and subject had a verbal dispute.  Both parties wrote statements.

Complainant stated her boyfriend hit her in the face.  No marks were noted on complainant, boyfriend left the residence.

Complainant stated she had let a family member live in one of her residence and when they had moved they took several appliances valued at $550.00. Warrants are being secured.

Complainant stated taken from her residence was copper wiring valued at $100.00.  Complainant also stated  her dogs had been poisoned.

Complainant stated someone had disconnected her phone line, water heater and

her breaker box had been tampered with.  Complainant stated this possibly could have been done by a family member.

11-04-11---Answered a call to Bobby Vann road in reference Suspicious Vehicle. Female was found, questioned and transported to Appling ER.  Investigation revealed false statements were given.  Susan Harris age 41 of Baxley was arrested and charged with False Report of a Crime.

Complainant stated a subject is sending her harassing text messages and calling her residence all times of the day and night.

Husband and wife had a verbal disagreement.  Husband left the residence and moved his belongings.

Complainant stated Alltel sent a draft through on her bank account for a cell phone that had been cancelled months ago.  Investigation continues.

Complainant stated an unknown subject has been stealing pecans from his property.

 

11-08-11---Answered a call to Cleland Lane in reference to an Overdose.

Victim stated she had taken an overdose of prescription medication.  Victim was transported by Appling EMS to Appling Healthcare for treatment.

 

11-08-11---Answered a call to Hwy. 341 Appling/Wayne county line in reference to a Theft.  DOT workers saw two subjects taking metal grates off water drains. Five were found to be missing and valued at $500.00 each.  Investigation revealed metal had been taken to scrap metal yard in Wayne County.  Terry Lynn Davis age 31 of Odum was arrested and charged with Theft and also Henry Ingram age 38 of Odum was arrested and charged with Theft and Probation Violation.

Officer determined this call was a civil matter between family members over deceased member’s property.

 

11-08-11---Answered a call to Noah Lane in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated his irrigation pump was stolen.  Pump was found at a local pawn shop and was pawned by a family member.

 

11-09-11---A routine traffic stop on Hwy. #1 south resulted in the arrest of Howard Jermaine Jonas age 22, of  Starke, Fl..  Jonas was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Obstruction of Officer.

Complainant stated a subject had stolen her chain link fence. Subject stated he had gotten permission to get the fence.

Complainant stated unknown person had stole her debit card  number and charged $589.03 to her bank account. Investigation continues.

Complainant was asked to remit $3,000.00 to the Club to receive remainder of winnings.  Complainant was advised to shred the check.

 

11-12-11---Answered a call to Sumner Road/Surrency in reference Threatening Text Message.  Complainant stated a subject had sent a threatening text to threatening to harm her child.

11-13-11---Answered a call to Dupe Herndon road in reference to a Theft.  Complainant stated while out of town his trailer had been broken into. Taken was a loveseat and washing machine.  Investigation Continues.

Appling EMS transported subject from residence on Zoar road to Appling ER after CPR had been started.  James Wade Sweat age 33 of Zoar Road/Hazlehurst, was pronounced deceased.

 

10-29-11---Answered a call to Old Surrency Road/Surrency in reference to a Burglary.  Complainant stated unknown person (s) forcibly entered the building and took a window unit and a metal sink valued at $450.00.  Investigation Continues.

Father and son are disputing over ownership of two gas engines.

Complainant state unknown person (s) had stolen 120 feet of gray copper wire and 60 feet of orange copper wire from under a vacant trailer that belongs to him. Investigation continues.

Complainant stated the father of her child made threats toward her and her boyfriend. Father of the child had left the residence before officer arrived.

 

10-30-11---Answered a call to Surrency Freewill Baptist Church /Surrency in reference to a subject soliciting money.  Subject made several convincing story’s that he was in need of money. Subject received money from several church members from several churches. Same incident occurred on November 6, 2011.  Deputies were able to apprehend Wilbur Buckley age 48, of Nahunta, Georgia.  Buckley was charged with Theft by Deception.  Without information being passed on in a timely manner Buckley would have been able to continue his scam.

Complainant stated his neighbors bulldogs killed his dog. Complainant was advised of his rights to protect his property, and family.

Complainant stated she asked her boyfriend to move from her residence, and he continues to text and makes threats toward her.

11-04-11---A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person (s) responsible for shooting the REA Transformer located on Zoar road.  Answered a call to Zoar road near Zoar Baptist Church in reference to Damage to Property.  Responding officers found that an REA transformer had been shot several times causing the power to go out in the community.  REA workers stated the cost of the transformer is approximately $12,000.00.  Investigation Continues.

Complainant stated a subject spent the night in her home and had stolen several items of jewelry valued at approximately $2,000.00.  Megan Lassey Hersey age 21 was arrested and charged with Theft by Taking.

 

 

10-22-11---Answered a call to Hwy. #203 in reference to a two-vehicle accident, with one of the vehicle’s pulling a trailer loaded with peanuts overturned. No injuries were reported.

Both subjects had a verbal dispute, which led to an altercation. Subjects were advised to speak with Magistrate about warrants.

Subject recently bought a new pistol and when checking the safety, pistol discharged hitting subject in the finger.

Complainant stated taken from his residence was four Alero tires and rims, three Enki tires, and one Husqvarna chainsaw, items taken were valued at $3,275.00.  Investigation Continues.

 

10-26-11---Answered a call to Veal Camp road in reference to possible Vehicle Theft.  Complainant stated when she went to bed her vehicle was in the yard and when she woke up this morning the vehicle was gone.  Complainant later called the Sheriff’s office and stated vehicle had been repossessed.

Neighbors had a dispute and complainant stated neighbor fired a shotgun in the air.

Mother stated her son has been getting in trouble on the school bus and will not obey her.  Juvenile was taken to Sheriff’s Office and Juvenile Justice Worker was notified.

Complainant stated her neighbors pigs were in her yard doing damage.  Neighbor came and got the pigs.

Complainant stated a family member had threatened her and spun a vehicle around in her yard.

 

10-15-11---Answered a call to Walker Lane in reference to Threats.  Complainant stated a subject came to her residence and kicked in door, and made threats toward her.  Complainant stated she did not want to press charges.

Girlfriend and Boyfriend had a verbal dispute which led to an assault. DFAC’s was also notified as a small child was involved. Boyfriend had left the residence before officer arrived. Warrants were secured for the arrest of Torrence Jones age 33 of Baxley.

Complainant stated that her neighbor’s dog had scratched her vehicle.

 

10-16-11---On a routine patrol of Deen’s Landing officer found unknown subject (s) had rolled toilet paper around the bathrooms and down the stairs that lead to the boat parking at Deen’s Landing. Also damage was done to the bathrooms. Investigation Continues.

 

10-16-11---Answered a call to Buck Head road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated five antique gas signs and scrap metal was taken from his property.  Cole Grant Clements age 17 of Baxley, and Eric James Hester age 18, of Baxley were arrested and charged with Theft by Taking.

 

10-16-11---Answered a call to South Main Street/Surrency in reference to a Burglary.  Michael Keith Overstreet age 23, of Baxley was arrested and charged with Burglary.

 

10-17-11---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft on Herrington Road. Complainant stated someone has been coming to his property and stealing his scrap metal, and he found some of his metal at a local business.  James Raymond Evans age 38, of Baxley was arrested and charged with Theft by Taking.

 

10-17-11---Answered a call to Poplar Lane in reference to an Unresponsive Subject.  Family called Appling EMS to Ms. Marie Purvis Collins age 65.  Ms. Collins had been under Hospice care.  Coroner George O’Quinn responded to the residence and pronounced Ms. Collins deceased.

 

10-17-11---Answered a call to East Parker Street in reference to a Theft.

Complainant saw two subjects taking batteries from refrigerator units on container trailers that belonged to T&M Equipment.  Fredrick Noble age 19, of Baxley, Johnny Bryant age 18, of Baxley were arrested and charged with Theft by Taking. Also a juvenile was taken into custody and turned over to Juvenile Officer.

Brother and sister had an altercation with a knife. Brother fell and landed on the knife.  Brother stated he did not want to press charges, and stated he was not returning to the residence.

Back door to building was found to be open and after responding officer checked the building, the owner of building stated nothing appeared to be missing.

 

10-18-11---A routine traffic stop in Jeff Davis County by Jeff Davis County Sheriff’s Deputies revealed a Burglary that had occurred at Southeastern Starter and Alternator in Appling County. Eugene Smith age 43, of Baxley was arrested and charged with Theft by Taking.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) took five twenty foot pieces of aluminum pipe valued at $2000.00.   Warrant has been secured for Christopher Shon Allen age 35, of Baxley.

James Brian Kersey age 36, of Baxley was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Complainant stated stolen from his business was a Lincoln, Ranger 8 welder valued at approximately $2,000.00.  Investigation revealed the whereabouts of welder and was returned to owner. Robert Alton Wheeler age 40 was arrested and charged with Theft by Taking.  Warrants have been taken for Ramel Copeland and Josh Chesnut for Theft by Receiving Stolen Property.

 

10-11-11---Answered a call to James Stanfield road/Surrency in reference to a Domestic.  Complainant stated a subject threatened him with a knife, and left the residence before officer arrived.

 

10-11-11---Answered a call to Hatch Parkway north in reference to an Attempted Burglary.  Complainant stated intruder tried to pry open the back door but failed when the alarm system sounded and left the scene.  Camera’s showed no one entering the residence.  

 

10-13-11---Answered a call to Firetower road in reference to Criminal Trespass.

Complainant stated subject  was shooting at his dogs and bullet holes were found in his lawnmower. Josh Brock Murray age 18 of Baxley was arrested and charged with Criminal Damage to Property Second Degree.

 

10-13-11---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report Terroristic Threats.

Complainant has paid a total of $17,000.00 to a male subject claiming to help people with bad dreams.  Subject continues to call complainant and demand more money.  Investigation Continues.

Larry Sheppard age 40 of Hoboken was arrested and charged with No proof of Insurance, expired vehicle tag and warrants are to be secured for Theft by Taking.

Complainant stated his neighbor took his dog over a year ago and will not return the dog to him.

Complainant stated a 125 Suzuki motorcycle and a 70cc Baja motorcycle was taken from her carport without her permission.  Investigation Continues.

 

10-05-11---Answered a call to Black Creek Trail in reference to Damage to Property.  Complainant stated unknown subject (s) had cut two places in the screen to the breezeway.  No entry to residence was made.  Investigation Continues.

10-06-11---A routine traffic stop on Jones Street resulted in the arrest of Chadrick Antonio Davis age 28 of Baxley. Davis was charged with Open Container in Vehicle, and Possession of Cocaine. 

 

10-06-11---Answered a call to Addie Lane in reference to Harassing Text Messages.  Complainant stated her husband has been texting and harassing her.

 

10-06-11---Answered a call to Brenda Kaye Yawn road in reference to a two-vehicle accident.  No injuries were reported.

 

10-07-11---Executed a search on Hatch Parkway north in receiving information person (s) growing Marijuana.  Upon executing search, several plants were found along with items used to grow Marijuana.  Warrants have been taken for the arrest of Darrell Maxwell Beecher age 38, of Baxley and Robyn Hamm age 37 of Baxley for Manufacturing Marijuana, and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.  At this time subjects have not been located to arrest.

 

09-22-11---A routine traffic stop on Ga. 4 resulted in the arrest of Stephanie Clayton age 40 of Baxley. Clayton was charged with Driving while Unlicensed,  No Seatbelt, and Drug Related Object.

 

09-23-11---Answered a call to Robinson Street in reference to Dangerous Dog.

Complainant stated her neighbor’s dog killed her cat and also stated she feared for her children getting to the school bus. Neighbor was not at home at time of report. Complainant was advised of her rights to protect her, family and property. 

 

09-23-11---Answered a call to Phillipi Church road in reference to a Theft.

Complainant stated his 1983 Honda motorcycle was stolen.  Motorcycle was located in Jeff Davis County along with subjects who took the motorcycle.  Complainant stated he was not going to press charges.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) broke into his storage building and

stole several items valued at $1,000.00.

 

09-23-11---Answered a call to Gail street in reference to Damage to Property.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) pulled his telephone wires out of the box on the pole.

Unknown person (s) entered the church and took dishes from the cabinets, took tables and put in the hallway, and took meat from the freezer and put in social hall.

09-24-11---Answered a call to Henry Griffin road in reference to a two-vehicle accident.  No injuries were reported.

 

09-24-11---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Domestic on Dunham Lane.  Complainant stated her boyfriend had thrown her to the ground and hit her several times.  Complainant was advised to see the Magistrate Judge if she wanted to secure a warrant and press charges.

09-25-11---Answered a call to Brandon Street in reference to a Child Custody Issue.  Juvenile went to live with her father.  Mother would not give juvenile any clothes.  Complainant was advised to speak with attorney.

 

09-26-11---Answered a call to Hatch Parkway South in reference to a Theft.

Maintenance was done on air compressor at Altamaha Technical and several days later air compressor was discovered missing.  Investigation continues.

 

 

09-26-11---Answered a call to Mill Pond road in reference to a Financial Fraud.

Complainant stated subject stole checking account number and transferred number to his own check.  Check cleared through complainants account.  Investigation continues.

 

09-26-11---Answered a call to West River road in reference to Shots Fired.

Upon arrival of officers, subject Steven Fletcher was found lying in recliner chair with a single gun shot wound to the right side of his abdomen.  Fletcher was transported to Appling Healthcare where he was later flown to Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Ga. by Lifestar.  A 22 caliber rifle was found lying on the floor next to Fletcher.  

 

09-26-11---Answered a call to Appling Health Care in reference to Intoxicated Subject.  Jerry Evans age 60 of Baxley was arrested and charged with PUI.

 

09-26-11---Answered a call to Harmony Church road in reference to Harassment.

Ex-boyfriend continues to ride his vehicle in front of complainant’s residence. Ex-boyfriend was contacted and asked to stop.

 

09-25-11---Answered a call to Tanglewood drive in reference to Animal Problem.

Complainant stated that several dogs came to his property and killed his caged rabbit.

Mother stated her son became upset and tried to fight her husband. Son had left the residence before the officer arrived.

Complainant stated while he was asleep in his vehicle someone had stolen $31.00 in US currency.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) had stolen a Lincoln welder and welder trailer. Investigation revealed Jared Taft Orvin had taken the welder. Orvin age 22, of Baxley was arrested for a Probation Violation, and a warrant was taken for Theft by Taking. Welder was returned to owner.

 

09-27-11---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft that occurred on Poor Robin road/Surrency.  Stolen from complainants shelter was a 1999 Kawasaki four wheeler, four wheeler was entered into GCIC as stolen.  Investigation Continues.

 

09-27-11---Answered a call to Zoar Bridge near Graham Zoar Road.  County Shop employee stated unknown person(s) had stolen eight Bridge Closed signs and two other road signs.

Brian Kersey age 36 of Baxley was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct.

 

09-28-11---Answered a call in reference to Damage to Vehicle. Complainant stated that persons unknown hit the vehicle. Subject didn’t know when or where it happened at.

 

09-28-11---Answered a call on Chad Claxton Street in reference to Threats. Complainant stated that subjects threatened her. Complainant was advised to see Magistrate in reference to warrants.

 

09-28-11---Investigated a one-vehicle accident on Blarney Road. No injuries were reported.

Two subjects had been having a verbal dispute. Both subjects were advised to stay at their own residence.

Complainant found his wallet was missing containing several cards, cash was missing along with some clothes and jewelry. Further investigation led to the arrest of Kevin Baxley age 28 of Baxley, GA. Baxley was charged with Burglary.

Complainant mailed the company a check to pay for the phone case. Complainant received an email stating that the company was not real. Be careful of who you purchase items from on the Internet. All websites are not legitimate.

 

10-1-11---Answered a call on Asbury Church Road in reference to a Theft. Taken was a .22 Henry Rifle. Investigation Continues.

 

 10-02-11---Answered a call to 2209 Buck Williams road in reference to a Four Wheeler Accident.  Joe Bereta age 68 of Baxley was found deceased, as a result of a four wheeler over turning on him. Preliminary ruling by Appling County Assistant Coroner Watson ruled as an accidental death.

 

09-09-11---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Fraud/Swindle.  Complainant stated she had been notified that she had won a large amount of money and a 2011 Mercedes Benz. In turn complainant had to mail money to Sweepstake to receive her winnings.  Complainant complied but has not received any monies or the vehicle.

09-10-11---Answered a call to Appling E.R. in reference to Affray, which resulted in the arrest of Gabriel Stace Carter age 18, of Baxley.  Carter was charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Complainant stated taken from his residence was his 2009 Arctic Cat four wheeler,

valued at $7,000.00.  Four-wheeler was entered into GCIC.  Investigation Continues.

Unknown person (s) entered the church causing damage inside the sanctuary. Nothing appeared to be missing at time of report.

 

09-12-11---Officers attempting to make an arrest of a male subject on a warrant residing on  Buckhead road led to the arrest of Brandy Jane Copeland age 21, of Baxley.  Copeland was arrested for obstruction.  Male subject was transported to Jeff Davis County.

 

09-12-11---Answered a call to County Farm road in reference to Horse on Roadway.  After several calls to this same incident owner of horse was given a citation.   

 

09-12-11---Answered a call to Baker Lane in reference to a Theft.

Complainant stated a person was trying to steal his backhoe, and when he approached him he jumped off and ran in the woods.  Responding officers apprehended Ronnie Bryant age 36, of Baxley.  Bryant was arrested and charged with two counts of Theft. Also several batteries were recovered in connection with the incident.

 

09-13-11---Answered a call to Hatch Parkway North in reference to two Burglaries.  Two complainants stated unknown subject (s) had entered their residence, and took monies, jewelry and clothes. Investigation Continues.

 

 

 

 

09-13-11---Answered a call to Altamaha School Road/Nails Ferry road in reference to a Vehicle Fire.  Complainant stated back tire of his vehicle came off and when pulling over to the side of roadway the grass caught fire, burning the vehicle.  Fire department responded and was able to get the fire out before vehicle was completely destroyed.

Complainant stated someone came to his residence and stole his white Bulldog valued at $300.00.

09-14-11---Complaint came to the Sheriffs Office to report Threats that happened on Sandy Road.  Complainant stated several known subjects stopped her vehicle, made threats toward her, and tried to pull her and her passenger from the vehicle.  Complainant was advised to obtain warrants from the Magistrate office.

Mother and juvenile had a physical altercation.  Juvenile Authorities and DFAC’s were notified.  Juvenile was turned over to a family member, per stipulations of Juvenile Officer and DFAC’s.

Complainant stated residence had been broken into and appears intruder went inside home. Home owner is to contact our office to verify if any items are missing. Investigation continues.

Fire was thought to be a mobile home, however upon arrival it was found to be a trash fire.  Two fire trucks and firemen were dispatched.  Subject who started the fire was issued a citation for burning without a permit.

Arrested in connection with this incident was Gwen Overstreet age 30 and Bart Roberson age 32 both of Baxley. Both were charged with Simple Battery/Family Violence.

Complainant stated a subject had made verbal threats and threatened him with a stick. Subject had left the residence before officer arrived.

Complainant found that a converter valued at $1,000.00 was taken from one of his vehicles. Local businessman contacted complainant and stated the converter had been brought to him.  Katheryn Sue Craven age 58 of Baxley was arrested and charged with  Theft by Taking. Outstanding warrant on Bradley Branch age 25 of Baxley.

Complainant found information from Social Security that someone is using her social security number.  Investigation continues.

 

08-25-11---Answered a call to Caney Creek Lane in reference to Damage to Property.  Complainant stated unknown person (s) had tried to pry open several windows and a door of the residence, but failed. Damage to door and windows are approximately $1,000.00.

08-11-2011---Answered a call on Laurel Court in reference to a Theft. Taken was a 1993 Ford Crown Victoria, gray in color. Investigation revealed location of vehicle. Alfred Johnson age 33, of Baxley was arrested and charged with Theft by Taking and Removal or Falsification of Identification Number on Vehicle.

 

8-12-2011---Answered a call on 341 East at the railroad in reference to a Theft. Taken were some spikes, anchors, and plates, that belonged to Norfolk Southern Railroad. Suspects were interviewed and case was turned over to Special Agent Norfolk Southern Railroad Police.  Christopher Shon Allen age 35 of Baxley was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass and Theft by Taking. Phil Allen, Jr. age 36 of Baxley was arrested and charged with Theft by Taking, Criminal Trespass and Probation Violation.

 

08-12-2011---Answered a call on Golden Isles West in reference to an Unsupervised Child. DFACS worker stated that a six year old boy ran across the highway without even looking. The child was almost hit by a vehicle. Case is still under investigation by DFAC’s.

 

08-12-2011---Answered a call on Brenda Kaye Yawn Road in reference to a Dog Case. Complainant stated that his Jack Russell went missing. Dog was later found at another residence.

 

08-12-2011---Answered a call on Old Surrency Road in reference to Criminal Trespass. Complainant stated that the offender came to the residence without permission.

08-13-2011---Answered a call to Old Field Cemetery in reference to Vandalism. Complainant stated that the flowers that were placed around a grave site were destroyed and removed from the grave.

08-15-2011---Answered a call on Holmesville Rd in reference to Damage to a Mailbox. Complainant stated that someone damaged her mailbox with a large rock.

 

08-15-2011---Answered a call on Wayne Jones Road in reference to an Unruly Juvenile. Upon officer arrival, complainant stated that his 14 year old daughter did not want to go to school and refused to get on the school bus. DJJ worker was contacted to handle the situation.

08-17-11---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Missing Person.

Husband stated his wife has been missing since the 16th of August and has a history of drug abuse. Wife was located at another residence.

 

08-17-2011---Answered a call on Zoar Road in reference to a Burglary. Complainant stated that some medication had been taken as well as $611.00 in cash. Investigation continues.

 

08-17-2011---Answered a call on Golden Isles East in reference to a Burglary. Complainant stated that nothing was found to be missing.

 

08-17-2011---Answered a call on Quincey Lane in reference to a Domestic.  Complainants stated that the offender came to the residence arguing and yelling. Marks were found on the victim. Arrested in connection with this incident was Travis Earl Taylor age 39 of Baxley. Warrants were secured on Taylor for Aggravated Assault.

 

08-17-11---Answered a call to Palmetto Circle in reference to Damage to Property.

Complainant stated ten year old juvenile threw a rock and busted rear window of her parked vehicle.

 

08-17-11---Answered a call to County Farm Extension in reference to a Missing Person.  Complainant stated subject had been missing not heard from for several days.  Investigation revealed subject was in Pierce County and appeared to be ok.

 

08-17-11---Complainant from Wayne County, notified our Sheriff’s Office of Threatening Phone calls from subject in Baxley.  Wayne County Sheriff’s office sent warrants on subject to Appling County.  John Thigpen age 42 of Baxley,  was arrested and transported to Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

 

08-17-11---During a routine check for a 10-13 subject at the residence on Ten Mile road,  resulted in the arrest of Mauricio Guzman age 37, of Baxley, and Francisco Guzman age 43, of Baxley. Both subjects were charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Related Objects.

 

08-17-11---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft.

Complainant stated her grandson took a $100.00 bill from her pocketbook.

Complainant stated window to her business had been removed, and unknown person (s) entered and tried to pry open cash register.  Investigation Continues.

Complainant was advised he could  take a warrant for subject.

Complainant stated a subject had taken his child’s bicycle.  Bicycle was located and complainant was advised he could press charges if he chose to.

 

 

 

08-07-11---A routine traffic stop on Patterson/ Sycamore road resulted in the arrest of Steven Dewayne Pearsey age 35 of Baxley. Pearsey was charged with Driving While License Withdrawn, VGCSA/Marijuana, VGCSA/ Crack Cocaine, VGCSA/Powder Cocaine, and Obstruction of an Officer.

Mother of fifteen year old female juvenile reported she had runaway from home.

Juvenile was located brought to the Appling County Sheriff’s Office and Juvenile Justice Officer was notified.

 

08-08-11---Answered a call to Mae Lane in reference to a Theft.

Complainant stated taken from his residence was a T.V., disc  CD charger, speakers and a remote.  Possible suspect under investigation.

 

08-08-11---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report Harassment.  Complainant stated untrue statements were being put on “Facebook” about her.

 

08-08-11---Answered a call to West River road in reference to a Theft of a Vehicle.  Complainant stated her nephew’s truck was stolen. Investigation revealed location of vehicle and it was brought to Sheriff’s Office.

Complainant stated her mother was last heard from on August 2, and was going to Atlanta, Georgia.  Bolo was entered on missing person.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) purchased two cell phones in her name and she received a bill in the amount of $973.19 that wasn’t hers.  After investigation, it was discovered, complainant did purchase the phones.

Complainant stated a family member took a check from his checkbook, forged his name and cashed the check. Complainant was advised he could take a warrant.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) broke into his residence and took several items of jewelry.

Complainant stated unknown person (s) backed into her propane tank, knocked it off the blocks and damaged the copper line.

Complainant stated a subject was to repair his vehicle.  Complainant gave subject $5,000.00 to begin the work. Complainant discovered subject had sold his vehicle.

Complainant was advised to secure warrant for subject.

 

08-10-11---Answered a call on Pretty Ford Road in reference to Livestock running at large. Upon officer arrival, deputies found horses running lose in the roadway. Owner of the horses was notified and the horses were detained until further notice.

 

08-10-11---Routine traffic stop on Zoar Road resulted in the arrest of Jeffery McKinney age 23 of Baxley. McKinney was charged with Driving on Suspended License. McKinney was also involved in another incident where he stole several checks and cashed them. Further investigation led to the McKinney being charged with Forgery and Theft by Taking.

 

08-10-11---Answered a call on Hardwick Road in reference to Harassment. Complainant stated that her children were assaulted by children on the school bus.

 

08-11-11-Answered a call on McDaniel Road in reference to a Vehicle in a Ditch. Vehicle was found with no insurance and a busted windshield. Vehicle was towed by Foster Rowland.

 

08-11-11---Met with the complainant at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to Financial Transaction Fraud. Complainant stated that persons unknown had used his checking account information and made several purchases. Investigation continues.

07-30-11---A routine traffic stop on Lennox road resulted in the arrest of Christopher Khole Sellers age 20, of Baxley was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Related Objects and Open Container.

 

07-30-11---Answered a call to Buckhead road in reference to an Unresponsive Subject.  Family members found Ms. Evelyn Collins age 86, of Baxley, unresponsive.  Appling EMS responded and Coroner Nick Grimes pronounced Ms. Collins deceased.  Ms. Collins appeared to have died of natural causes.

 

07-31-11---Answered a call to Sheriff’s Office Lobby in reference to a Domestic.

Complainant stated altercation occurred between two females at Willies Club.

 

07-31-11---A routine traffic stop on Hwy. #341 resulted in the arrest of  Norris Gibbs, Jr. age 26, of Surrency.  Gibbs was charged with Possession of Marijuana and a Seatbelt violation.

Complainant stated a family member had taken several items from his residence and pawned at a local pawn shop.  Warrants are being secured.

Taken from residence was a lap top computer, charger and a bag of food.

Possible suspect is under investigation.

Complainant stated she let a person test drive a car she had for sell.  Person has not returned the car and has not paid for the car.

Complainant stated a juvenile threw his cat in front of some dogs and the dogs killed his cat.  Complainant was advised to speak with Juvenile Justice Officer to seek charges.

 

08-01-2011---Answered a call on Pine Ridge Road in reference to a Domestic. Complainant stated that the victim had taken the children and had gone missing. The victim called at a later time and advised that everyone was safe.

 

08-02-11---Answered a call to West River Road in reference to a Missing Juvenile.

Mother of juvenile stated the teenage boy had been missing since the previous day.

Dispatch was notified later in the day that the juvenile had returned home.  Responding officer went back to the residence and verified that the juvenile was in good condition and no evidence of physical abuse.

 

08-05-2011---Met with the complainant at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to a Child Custody issue. Complainant stated that the father of the child was supposed to meet with the complainant and exchange the child however didn’t show up.

 

08-05-2011---Answered a call on Henry Clifton Road in reference to a Burglary. Taken was a 32 inch Sanyo TV. Investigation continues.

 

08-05-2011---Answered a call on Kennedy Road in reference to a Domestic. Arrested in connection with this incident was Christopher Brian Turner age 35 and Tonya T. Turner age 32 both of Baxley. Both subjects were charged with Disorderly Conduct and were transported to the Detention Center.

07-19-2011---Routine traffic stop on County Farm Road/1st Street resulted in the arrest of William Holton age 38 and Pricilla Lee Collins age 26 both of Baxley. Holton was charged with VGCSA-Cocaine, Driving with Suspended License, DUI, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Possession of Drug Related Objects. Collins was charged with Possession of Drug Related Objects, Open Container, and Drugs to Kept in Original Container. Both are currently being held in the Detention Center.

07-09-2011---On July 9, 2011 during a routine traffic stop on Lackwanna Street resulted in the arrest of Pattie Lynn Taylor age 38 of Baxley. Taylor was charged with Pills not in Original Container, No License, and No Seatbelt.

 

07-09-2011---Answered a call to James Kent Road in reference to Theft by Deception. Complainant stated known offender stole several items she bought to fix her vehicle and did not fix it. Investigation Continues.

 

07-09-2011---Answered a call to 9420 Blackshear Hwy in reference to a Runaway Juvenile. Investigation led to the arrest of Glenda Sue Knox age 44 of Nahunta, GA. Knox was charged with Aggravated Child Molestation and is currently being held in the county jail.

 

07-09-2011---On July 9, 2011 during a routine traffic stop on Highway 15 resulted in the arrest of Reginald Wendall Grace age 52 of Jesup. Grace was charged with DUI, No insurance, and driving while Unlicensed.

Sheriff’s Weekly Report

06-22-2011---Over the last few weeks several burglaries have occurred throughout the county. The county responded to a residence on Sandhill Road and East River Road as well at the Nature Conservancy. A selection of chainsaws, guns, boat motor, and a leaf blower were taken. Further Investigation revealed that Christopher Owen Byrne age 28 of Baxley and Christopher Michael Moore age 29 of Baxley was involved. 06-22-2011---Over the last few weeks several burglaries have occurred throughout the county. The county responded to a residence on Sandhill Road and East River Road as well at the Nature Conservancy. A selection of chainsaws, guns, boat motor, and a leaf blower were taken. Further Investigation revealed that Christopher Owen Byrne age 28 of Baxley and Christopher Michael Moore age 29 of Baxley was involved. Byrne was arrested and charged with Theft by Taking and Burglary. Moore was arrested and charged with Theft by Taking. They are currently being held in the county jail.

News Release

Appling County Sheriff Benny Deloach stated that Jose Filo Gonzalez was apprehended in Polk County Florida by the US Marshall Service late Wednesday afternoon. Gonzalez was arrested on a Murder Warrant. The murder was committed in the early hours of June 21, 2011 in Appling County. Gonzalez will be returned to Appling County as soon as extradition proceedings are completed.

06-05-2011---Answered a call to Alvin Moody Road in reference to a Burglary. Complainant stated known offender entered his residence and stole a shotgun. Investigation Continues.

 

06-05-2011---On June 5, 2011 during a routine traffic stop on Spruce Street resulted in the arrest of Christopher Michael Moore age 29 of Baxley. Moore was charged with Possession of Drug Related Objects and No Insurance.

 

06-05-2011---Answered a call to McClure Lane in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated known offender came to his residence and stole a 1989 Chevrolet Camero. Investigation Continues.

 

06-06-2011---Answered a call to Zoar Road in reference to Damage to Property. Complainant stated person(s) unknown slung a rock up and busted her windshield.

 

06-06-2011---Answered a call to Curtis Tillman Road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated persons unknown went into his spouse’s vehicle and stole her driver’s license, debit card, checks, credit card, cash, and social security card. Investigation Continues.

 

06-06-2011---Answered a call to Miles Road in reference to Damage to Property. Complainant stated after being given permission by the DOT workers to continue on down the road gravel got into her vehicle and brake pads causing damage.

 

06-07-2011---Answered a call to Brenda Kaye Yawn Road in reference to Harassment. Complainant stated he kept receiving messages from the known offender. Complainant was advised to see Magistrate.

 

06-07-2011---Answered a call to VP Lynch Road in reference to a Dog Bite. Complainant stated that while rolling the trash can to the road three dogs started barking at her. The black dog bit her on her left ankle causing swelling.

 

06-07-2011---Answered a call to Jekyll Road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated known offender was paid in 2009 to do some work at her residence and has not showed up to finish the work. Investigation Continues.

 

06-07-2011---Answered a call to James Kent Road in reference to a Domestic. Complainant stated that she and the known offender got into a verbal argument and he was trying to put her out of the residence. Both parties was separated and advised to see Magistrate.

 

06-08-2011---Answered a call to Lovis Seade Road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated known offender(s) entered his residence and stole $100.00. Complainant was advised to see Magistrate.
