Good afternoon, I hope you are doing well
and that you've got plenty of hair-spray on
your head to keep your hair in place, cause
the wind is sure going to blow it...
We do have some Prayer
Request and Praise The Lords we want to
share with ya'll.
1-Ambers Jarrell has
just been admitted into the Bax. Hosp. He
is having some trouble breathing...
2-Ronnie Long is in St.
Joseph hosp in Sav. His leg is swollen and
infected again - He sure needs our prayers.
3-Reuben Holcomb has
been very sick with whatever is going
around. He is at home.
4-Michael Patrick (Who
is Wilbur Murry's Son-in-law, and has
attended our church several times) his
father was found to have several spots of
cancer this last week. The cancer has been
found in several different places. The
expectations are not looking good right now.
5-Tonight is "Cosmic
Volley Ball" for our youth. That is always
a big event for our kids and youth workers.
Please pray for them today, and help get any
kids you can here tonight...
6-Rodney Herndon says
he is doing better and that his leg is not
hurting like it was. But he still has a
long way to go. Keep praying for him.
7-Let's keep the Reese
family in our prayers.
8-Reb & Wanda Mabry's
son (Danny Bunkly) had his mobile home to
burn last week, he lives out back of Reb &
Wanda's home on Herrington Rd. We are
trying to see what we can do to help, he
already has another mobile home on the way,
it will be here in about a week or two.
Hopfully at that time we will be able to
offer some type of ministry to him. Keep
them in your prayers, I am sure that many of
you know just how trying a time like this
can be for them.
9-After looking at our
SS records Bro. Fred, Bro. Glen Stone and I
see a NEED for at least three new SS
teachers. Please join us in praying that
God will guide us as a church so that He
will be Glorified and we will be better
students of His Word. (The teachers we need
are in classes that will range from the 3rd
grade to and through high school.)
10-Our Awana has been
doing GREAT, and it is a blessing to see so
many kids at church on Wednesday evening.
But with the increase in numbers of kids
comes an increase in need for the number of
adults to help minister to those kids.
Angela Morris says she NEEDS some more
"listeners" there is not a lot
of work to be done except during the awana
class time. (being a listener as the kids
quote their memory verses.) Pray about
it and see if God wants YOU to be a part of
this GREAT work!
*Did you know that last
Sunday morning we had 31 people in our
worship service who were not members of Mt.
Vernon Baptist Church? Do you know who any
of them were? If so I trust that you will
do your part in letting them know that we
enjoy having them with us, and invite them
back!!!
*I am sure that you
join me in saying "Praise The Lord" for the
decision of Andy and Andrew Boatright, as
they joined Mt. Vernon last Sunday morning.
AMEN & AMEN!
- MARK IT DOWN! March
16th we will have a dedication of our newly
finished Office Space, SS Rooms, Choir Room
& Nursery! Thank You Lord!!!
